Thank you for your interest in the GW SMHS MD Program. This information is applicable to all applicants and current students. We encourage you to take time to read this material thoroughly. It is intended to provide you with basic information about our financial aid programs and policies.

Additionally, we encourage you to share this information with your families, spouses, and/or significant others. The primary responsibility for funding your education rests with you and your family. However, it is understandable that the amount you and your family can contribute may not always be sufficient to meet the costs of attending medical school.

The MD Program Office of Financial Aid is committed to providing each student with the individualized attention that each deserves. All eligible students who qualify are provided financial aid based on demonstrated financial need and availability of funds.

If you have questions or need to submit documents, please email our office at medfinan@gwu.edu. Appointments are encouraged in an effort to devote specific time to address your needs; please contact us to meet virtually or in person. Please include your GWID when corresponding with the Office of Financial Aid. We are always happy to help.
