Can the full cost of attendance be funded through federal student loans?

In some cases, yes, for eligible dependent students the full cost of attendance can be covered with a combination of the Federal Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans and the Parent PLUS Loan. However, PLUS loan offers are contingent upon an approved credit check. Independent students can only receive their allotted Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loan amounts and the remainder of the Cost of Attendance can be a combination of Private Loans, self-pay, and other resources.
