The consumer information page contains important resources for prospective and current GW students and to assist the GW community in finding important institutional information.
Every year, the Women's Board supports a number of medical, nursing, and public health students (among others) through scholarships. During the 2021-2022 academic year, the Women's Board will be offering the following:
- ONE MONTA SOMMER BOOK AWARD FOR $1,000. The award is usually $1,000, but may vary annually. The minimum criteria for this book award is that the recipient be (1) a first-year medical student and (2) in need of financial aid. The Associate Dean for Student Affairs will name a recipient based on need for physical books.
- MEDICAL SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIPS. These medical school scholarships are awarded to support medical students in their fourth year of education at the SMHS. Recipients are selected based on various criteria, including but not limited to academic excellence, community involvement, and a commitment to the field of medicine. The selection process for the fourth-year students will take place in the Spring 2022.
