PA Program New and Continuing Students 

PA Program First Year — Beginning Summer 2026

Incoming students begin summer of the 2025-2026 academic year. Students will first be packaged for summer. A separate request must be submitted for the fall/spring semesters. Students will be packaged as follows: institutional scholarships, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.  If additional scholarship funds are awarded to a student, the package will be revised.

An aid offer notification will be provided to you via email after these materials have been submitted and reviewed.

  1. Complete each required Free Application for Federal Student Aid at: studentaid.gov.
    1. Complete or transfer the 2025-2026 FAFSA for summer 2026 with school code E00197.
    2. Complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA with school code E00197 to apply for aid for fall 2026/spring 2027.
  2. Complete the SMHS summer 2026 and fall 2026/spring 2027 Financial Aid Request Forms. Submit completed forms through this secure link:  https://gwu.app.box.com/f/c4d8ea21a6d644e5a07450045b2e2a00
    • Please only submit via email if you have issues with the secure link to medfinan [at] gwu [dot] edu (medfinan[at]gwu[dot]edu) Pin password protected PDF format, with the password emailed separately. 
PA Program Second Year Continuing — Beginning Fall 2026

Current aid recipients need to apply for aid for the summer of 2026 and then fall 2026 and spring 2027. Please submit the corresponding financial aid request forms. Aid is disbursed evenly between fall and spring semesters.  Students will be packaged as follows: institutional scholarships, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.  If additional scholarship funds are awarded to a student, the package will be revised.

PA/MPH New and Continuing Students

PA/MPH Program First Year

Incoming students begin their academic work in the last semester of the 2025-2026 academic year. Students will first be packaged for summer. A separate request must be submitted for the fall/spring semesters. Students will be packaged as follows: institutional scholarships, Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan.  If additional scholarship funds are awarded to a student, the package will be revised.

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid at: studentaid.gov.
    • You must complete or transfer the 2025-2026 FAFSA for summer 2026 aid request with school code E00197.
    • Complete the 2026-2027 FAFSA with school code E00197 to apply for aid for fall 2026 and spring 2027 semesters.

Please note that eligible students who are enrolled, at least half-time, in the MPH portion of the program will be eligible for extended Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan Limits. For the nine-month academic year, this is $33,000. 

PA/MPH Second and Third Year Continuing
